camelphat and yousef have known each other for many years. much alike one another they ve earnt their stripes, contributing to the dance music industry in a plethora of ways, dj ing, running events, running clubs. naturally, this friendship, teamed with camelphat s admiration and understanding of circus recordings, led to the exchanging of demos that finally manifested in this release. opening track the solution is nothing short of relentless. having had numerous plays out, the track has been dubbed check-mate on the dancefloor . with second track, dmt , yousef was immediately hooked on the way it pushed the boundaries of camelphat s vision further than ever before. indeed, a fully twisted techno work out that sees heavy kicks and driving bass build, amid looping sirens, to not one but two huge crescendos. this ep showcases club music with the heftiest of parameters. undoubtedly, another enormous ep for camelphat and a fitting following to the equally enormous say something by nasser baker already out on circus recordings

this is a long overdue collaboration and we couldnt be more excited to present a brand new ep from our man, jenas mad scientist funk freak himself, metaboman. a stalwart veteran of the legendary musik krause camp, which has been a kindred spiritual sister label of sorts of ours since the millennium-turn heydays, being fellow purveyors of bold and raw dance floor music, still brimming with new ideas galore and bucket loads of soul. here with the wireless dancer ep we have metaboman in top form offering nothing less than his finest work: doppeldenk starts things off with some classic krause bump that brings to mind the heights of the duo at their peak but updated, like an stl banger turned up to 11 with sinewy melodic lines and that special thuringen twist. hanno follows up with a guest spot by jazz saxophone master thomas prestin, and guarantees to bring down the house with a storm of swinging stabs, rough riffs, and fresh-as-it-gets drum work. on the flip, splitit does exactly that, whether referring to wigs, legs, or that last drink ticket - where dusty blues vox chops and a rolling percussive smack down will revive any fading floor faces. and finally, echterg rounds it all out nicely with the illest of atonal trips and subsonic bass tones that the finer sound systems out there will fully indulge. much love from jena & paris to the world!

after relocating from california at 7 years old, nasser grew up in a musical environment in new jersey. surrounded by gifted artists from an early age, nasser was fed a diet of authentic 70 s soul, 80 s pop and 90 s hip hop and r&b, which all influenced the spirit of his music and his trademark big production. at only 24 years old nasser displays real musical maturity and a subterranean fearlessness in his productions. mentored by house music master dennis ferrer, nasser has released three ep s and on the indispensible objektivity label, as well as remixing dennis iconic son of raw in 2017. his gramercy ep on suara revealed nasser s more techier side, exposing his wider abilities. his most recent release on objektivity, the just like that ep , dropped in summer 2017, in tune with his first ibiza season. phonk d connects with his buddy le rubrique. they created three real floor bangers with some heavy punch. raw mpc drums, disco samples and classic synths melt into a deep funky mixture. as a very special goodie they could team up with the great borrowed identity, who contributed a pretty nice remix to this ep. watch your feet!

2011 is set to be a huge year for yousef, and arguably his strongest yet in the production field. after spending much of 2010 recording remixes and productions for other leading labels yousef has come back super-strong on his own seminal circus recordings proven here if needed by his latest vinyl production. it is centered on a very simple premise. taking 2 pieces of music and recreating them with yousefs indiscernibly brilliant club night in mind. a resolutely dance floor-focused ep, that combine to create a unique aural tapestry representative of the circus and yousefs own musical evolution. each is an intricate and heartfelt paean of love to circus and the huge impact it has had on both clubland and yousefs career for the last almost nine years, with the clubs birthday approaching this september. yousef says that, >the ep is a special project for me and one that is indicative of the way im progressing. getting to re-shape these tracks from some of my most respected peers has been a great opportunity to craft them with that special circus sound<

bigger than prince was born out of a conversation between label boss yousef and green velvet when both played the indonesian leg of the annual circus tour. the idea of the chicago legend contributing a brand new track for the circus x // part 1 compilation was floated and soon he was joining nine other friends of circus who were all to feature in celebration of ten years of events.
*bigger than prince* is a classic green velvet vocal number and sharper and fresher than anything we have heard this summer. quirky and driving, its set to be one of the tracks of the season. to back the original, yousef has drafted in more friends of circus on remix duties, hot since 82 and the martinez brothers.
